High Protein Orange Banana Smoothie
Like the rest of the world recently, our family has been hit with a variety of sicknesses. Upset tummies, runny noses, coughs, and earaches—you name it—our family has had it.
To combat this, I’ve been trying to get extra vitamins and nutrients into my kids’ meals in any way that I can! One question I constantly ask myself when making anything is “How can I add more fruits or vegetables to this recipe?” I’ve gotten pretty creative in my efforts, some have been great additions, and others not so much :)
This morning, I wanted to add some protein to my breakfast and use up some oranges we had on hand, so voila! This High-Protein Orange Banana Smoothie was created!
My oldest was home from school sick, so I shared this with him and our youngest, Sam. And by some miracle both of them actually drank it—the ultimate mom win in my book! My oldest even asked for more! I was happy to share this with them because I packed it with fruits, healthy fats, protein, and even vegetables!
If this kind of smoothie sounds right up your alley, you have to try it!
This smoothie is naturally sweet, creamy, and full of vitamin C, potassium, and plant-based protein. Perfect for breakfast or post-workout recovery!
